Pastor Brenda Brown-Grooms

Born and raised in Charlottesville, VA, Pastor Brenda holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary, with additional graduate work at Vanderbilt University. Ordained by the National Baptist USA in 1991 and recognized by the American Baptists USA in 2010, Pastor Brenda was licensed in Mt. Vernon, NY. She has pastored FBC Natural Bridge and served as Assistant Pastor at Sweet Union in Roanoke, VA. As an experienced educator, Pastor Brenda has taught at Fisk University, American Baptist College in Nashville, and Virginia Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. Starting June 30, 2024, Pastor Brenda will be the Head Pastor of New Beginnings, preaching every Sunday. You can also join her in exploring New Testament themes during Wednesday Bible Study via Zoom.
