Our Community

At New Beginnings Christian Community, all God's children are welcome.
Through thick and thin, we're growing into our love as sisters and brothers in God's family.

After three years of dialysis, we are overjoyed to share that on April 26, 2026, Pastor Brenda received a kidney transplant. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with renewed health, hope, and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, supported, shared her story, and walked alongside Pastor Brenda throughout this journey — your love and encouragement have meant more than words can express.

"I never thought that I would find a church where I could be me."

"Now I can invite my friends to church, without worrying if they will be offended."

"I have looked for years for a Christ-centered, biblically-based church which affirms everyone and empowers them to use their God-given gifts."

As a people of prayer, purpose, and passion, we are in the forefront of creating a community of faith where people of every race, nationality and culture gather as one in worship, service and work. Through the cross of Christ we embrace the world as our neighbors. Our vision for mission energizes a multitude of servant ministries of evangelism, discipleship, leadership, new church development, social justice, healing peacemaking, economic development and education.

We are willing to take a stand. Because Jesus modeled a life free of bias and prejudice, we believe that all people have an equal need for His love. American Baptist Christians have been leaders in the struggle for social reform, women's rights, fair and just treatment for Gay, Lesbians and Transgender people, resettlement of refugees and the civil rights movement.

As a result of our religious beliefs, our worship services are Spirit-filled. We offer to God, our gifts of prayer, lively music, testimonies, communion, and preaching the Word of God.

We are part of the American Baptist Church, the denomination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
