FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK, 17 MAY 2026

There is good and evil in the world. We must use our free will to choose which side we are on. The choice must be made over and over again. Each time the choice comes, it is harder to make. The stakes become higher.

It is easy to choose to do the right thing when doing so doesn’t cost too much. It’s not as easy when we want a reputation, money, power. When those variables enter the equation, doing the right thing becomes much harder.

The thing that often takes us unaware is that we don’t expect deciding to do the right thing to be hard— not when we have been choosing right over wrong for a long while. We fool ourselves into thinking the choice is automatic. Nothing spiritual is automatic. GOD is always there to help us with the decision, but, we must ask. We must let GOD in to help us. We must submit to GOD’s will, abandoning our own wills.

The trick of the devil is always to distract—to get us not to do what GOD sent us to earth to accomplish with our lives. This onslaught continues every day we live on this green earth.

Evil continually fights against GOD and the people of GOD. GOD continually protects us and gives us a way to defeat evil.

However, we must know that we must resist evil and be prepared to fight it, with the help of Jesus, who came to help us to do just that.

We can’t do it on our own. But, with the help that GOD has provided us through Jesus Christ, GOD and we can, will, are, tearing Satan’s kingdom, evil, down.

THIS IS THE PROMISE OF GOD. No matter what it looks like, BELIEVE IT. It is so.
