FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK, 31 MAY 2026

There are many ways to be betrayed in life.

People may betray us. We may betray others and ourselves. Churches who decide to follow a person, a partisan political organization, anyone besides GOD and Jesus Christ, are no longer Houses of GOD. They become social clubs who think what GOD requires of us are merely suggestions, which we can ignore if those “suggestions” interfere with our comfort.

Right now America is being betrayed by elected officials, the person in the White House and the Supreme Court. They have all betrayed the Constitution for fame and fortune. They have betrayed the country to Russia and China. They are openingly stealing our tax dollars, our private information and the social safety nets we need and are owed.

Ebola, measles, COVID haven’t gone anywhere and the CDC has been decimated and it’s scientists are forbidden to speak out about these virulent diseases.

Many are looking for a way to survive such devastating betrayals. They look for heroes. For rich people to share their wealth. For the rich and famous to allow wealth to trickle down to them. Of course, tRump promised them that he cared about them and would make sure they would have everything they needed under his administration. The betrayal is made worse because many took the bait because, they were also promised (and agreed with the purposed cruelty) that their comeuppance would come at the price of others’ human rights and dignity.

The plain truth is that our help comes from the LORD. As Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV) reminds us:

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Our help comes from on high. Don’t look anywhere else. Help is not coming from the Calvary. It isn’t coming from the White House, the Congress, the Senate, or the Supreme Court.

Our help is coming from GOD, the Maker of everything and everyone.

GOD will not fail us. Watch closely.
